We spend so much time in our impatient ADD online virtual world these days that we sometimes forget how it feels to go to a casual meetup, shake a few hands, cram a few hearty hugs, pat each other on the backs, and do a few playful sleeper holds! - made popular by wrestler Hulk Hogan.
Yes the physical can really make you feel alive!
Especially after long periods in the virtual work world, the numbness to the physical five senses could really get to you.
This is another reason why religions have weekly physical meetups. Love and happiness felt much more complete, with friends and family around you.
And yes! It is that feeling of Family, among friends, that makes physical meetups warm and cozy.
So what kind of meetup could be fun, meaningful, and enriched in self help?
How about a weekly 90 minute meetup that consists of a Myers Briggs Personalty game, where everyone would try to guess the personality of the participants around them, with questions of self help and Happiness all mashed into this fun, networking process.
It will be a meetup of discovery about others, ourselves and how the two tied in to happiness-purpose, passion, success, helping others, relationships with everyone. It is a meetup where everyone are constantly improving themselves each week, and in doing so, improve others.
What is needed is a good Facilitator to conduct the meetup- to play the role of that Family Man - a person well verse of everyone's personality profile, strengths and weaknesses, who is expert in connecting people, and providing proper directions to questions.
And when the players of the game matured, hopefully they will graduate to become the next great Facilitator and pass the effort forward, to help the next group of players.
