Teaching Good Morals in 60 days?! - Managing & Balancing Secondary Emotions- Baby Yoda, this is your nurse droid IG88 !

“Baby yoda, baby yoda,  this is your nurse droid IG 88,  you know better not to do that !  Your secondary emotion is transiting into a primary emotion,  that could be very dangerous, do you Groku that?”

Yes, Prevention is better than treatment.
And Yes, it is the ultimate question of "Prevention vs level of Free Will"
as in education or legal structure.

Ever since we published "Teaching Good Morals in 60 days?! "
Part 1, 2, 3  from 2013 to 2017,  we wanted to revisit the Secondary Emotions Section.
We will not repeat what we published in  those article, so please review here if necessary for this article.

It is a monumental task as there are over hundreds of them to research upon.

In this short article, we will summarize the key points  and where the emphasis should be, and on our future articles, a comprehensive table with detailed analysis for each of the hundreds of secondary emotions could be presented -a herculean task indeed. We will group them into as few groups as possible  based on similarity for practical  purpose so that it is simple to use.

There are only 9 Primary Emotions that could lead to wrong doings. Secondary Emotions cannot lead to wrong doings- but may lead to a Primary.  There are hundreds of Secondary. A Secondary may hop from one Secondary to many other Secondaries before leading to a Primary. Thus, a Emotion Path Tree or Diagram or Table will help illustrate this better.

However, for Simplicity sake- or real life practical application wise- almost all Primary Emotions and Secondary Emotions (absent some Neutral ones)  are offshoots from the  2 most BASIC emotions of Love and Fear.  Thus, from our research, almost all Secondaries could lead to a Primary.
The Simple way to apply this fact  is to ignore the Secondaries (understand it, but ignore it), so once a Primary emotion occurs,  one just has to be Aware of its presence and risk, and remind oneself to take Precautions.

The other way is to be aware of  the Secondaries and take pre-caution in advance.
Some practical ways are-

1. One can use the Secondaries to be self aware- adjust/correct course if deemed necessary, or do nothing if confident in self control.

2. Set up some type of self warning system AFTER  a secondary has transited into a primary and warning us it is time to take precaution.

3. Self warning on the secondary  BEFORE  it starts transiting into a primary- not everyone would like this as life becomes too strict,  automated, robotic or unnatural  since there is  no natural, emotional flow or release. It is considered unhealthy for some,  depending  on one's Personality Profile, age, tolerance and control level.   We will leave it to  each user if this is useful or overkill on free will.
Users can rely on warning to balance out the secondary or prevent the transit into primary.

An app can be set up for  the above where the user can take a short Reflection survey at the end of day so that the  app can pre-warn the user based on inputs.

This app, if successful, will definitely  narrow the Volatility band of doing evil or committing wrong.
