MINDFUL - Proper Etiquette and Proper Culture- Perfect World Part 2

In our first article, published concurrently on April 2020  with this Part 2 article,

"MINDFUL - Proper Etiquette and Proper Culture- Perfect World Part 1"
https://iduidu.blogspot.com/2020/04/mindful-proper-etiquette-and-proper_15.html

we presented the One Sentence to pass around to remind people on Mindfulness, so to engender a world of unity : love, peace, harmony.

Please review article above as we will not repeat key concept and details here.

In this article, we would like to explore beyond the One Sentence idea, to expand on the Concept of Mindfulness, and establish a broader framework and forum, to reinforce the One Sentence approach of passing it forward.

We will explore some other core elements/concepts that could further foster Mindfulness from a universal perspective (universally accepted by all cultures and backgrounds). Besides the elements mentioned in Part 1  within Mindfulness- proper Etiquette and Proper Culture, the elements below (some of these are higher concepts) could be further included to elevate the definition of Mindfulness to an ideal level.

On Self

Be aware of your thoughts, manage it- as they translate carelessly into negative emotions, which then migrate into negative speech or action.

Be mindful of not just your speech & actions, but also your  thoughts(intention and desire) and emotions in every moment.

Practice "I desire, but I do not need"
(this maturity stage eliminates  bad, negative emotions that led to wrongful actions)

To envy is natural (to compare and feel inequality is natural, it could help one appreciate greatness and motivate one to be better), but beware of jealousy - the extremism of envy, do not let envy become jealousy(hating someone just because he is better off, with sometimes sabotaging nature)

Be constantly aware of the 9 primary emotions that lead to wrong doing.
(The 9 Emotions are Fear, Guilt, Greed, Exclusivity, Jealousy, Anger, Indifference, Lack of Courage, Deviousness- we published an article on this in 2013

On Others

Love is a selfless energy that encompass ALL, never partial.

Selfless= everyone as family

Wish the best of others all the time= everyone as family

Love as solution- love is unconditional, no requirements, no obligations.

On anger- the evolved is above ridicule.

Learn peaceful conflict resolution and practice it.

On Society

Action over inaction = u care u matter

Be assertive everyday

Freedom = responsibility

Win fair and square the evolved way- the true spirit of competition and self worth

On competition- true greatness comes from bettering others, not batter

Whatever you wished for, give to others as well. Highest level of success = helping others succeed.

What is greater than success is helping others succeed.

We don't complete ourselves without completing others.

***The blurbs above on Success and Competition are important as they bridge the gap between what is ideal and what is Reality in a competitive capitalistic world (one filled with problems of Exclusivity)

On Passing it along - Speak up, Teach, Mentor

In Part 1, we mentioned that Culture, Awareness and Reminder of Mindfulness  could be ingrained within society by constantly Repeating and Reminding Everyone to be assertive, to speak up at all levels when every opportunity arises.

In Part 2 here, we would like to expand on other approaches on passing it along, beyond the mere speaking up and being assertive in Part 1.

Mindfulness should be taught at a young age in schools, with parents as additional supportive roles. There should also be a national  culture to promote awareness in every corner of society through advertising mediums : tv, radio, trains and bus stops, billboards.

Mindfulness should be something one holds  personal, with pride and honor, as part of  as an evolved society. Public Campaigns should be run constantly in support of this New Standard. Campaigns served as  reminders and awareness. Make it repetitively Prevalent!

Campaigns not only serve as reminders but also unite everyone to achieve a
common but difficult goal.

This Standard and Awareness must be constantly ingrained  and reinforced throughout all Societal Structures- workplace, family, schools etc.

Training Forum to Pass it along-  Teach, Mentor, Speaking Up

Perhaps, there should be a professional Forum established to educate people not just on teaching or mentoring Mindfulness, but also the proper way to casually speak up on Mindfulness in a friendly, non-assuming manner.

Distant memories of  childhood quickly arise, of the times our parents emotionally blurted out words on our wrongdoings, frowned upon by our rebellious look, not quite listening, far from obeying.Memories of moments also resurfaced, when we acted too much like an unpopular saint, blurting out lecturing sentences in front of friends,  followed by stares and awkward expressions.

Passing Mindfulness along might look simple enough. But with a closer look, reveals its complexity.  What to say, how to say it with simplicity, which tact & tone to use, perhaps adding a dose of humor, in what situations and to whom of varying personalities, are all important in successfully passing Mindfulness along.

Besides being assertive and speaking up at all levels, learning the proper way to share one's experience and lessons in a casual, non-assuming way (not sound like some self imposing guru that turns people off) at the right opportune moment, is a skill everyone should master.

It may be easier with text messages and social media these days,  but delivering Mindfulness with Simplicity and Effectiveness is still a  much needed skill to be mastered.
